OPP Media Relations / Saturday, April 30, 2022 / Categories: Public Safety Atikokan FATAL SINGLE MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISSION Thunder Bay Man Deceased ATIKOKAN, ONTARIO ~~~~ April 30, 2022 (LSNews) Allison Lawrence, A/Media Relations Coordinator reported that Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Rainy River Detachment (Atikokan Satellite) is investigating a fatal single motor vehicle collision on Hematite Road in the Niobe Lake area. Rainy River OPP were notified of a single motor vehicle collision and arrived at approximately 7:45 a.m. on April 30, 2022. Atikokan Fire and Rescue and Rainy River District EMS were already on scene. Jason Ramage, a 39 year old from Thunder Bay was pronounced deceased. The collision appears to have occurred sometime between 7:00 p.m. on April 29, 2022 to 7:00 a.m. on April 30, 2022. The investigation continues with assistance from the OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) and Reconstructionist.
