CJHL announces its 2018-19 Top 20 preseason rankings Lake Superior News
#LSN_Sports  Penticton Vees (BCHL) tabbed No. 1 among the 133 CJHL clubs

CALGARY, Alta. –  September 2, 2018   (LSN)  The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) announced Saturday its Top 20 preseason rankings for the upcoming 2018-19 season.

Topping the preseason tabulations, which were compiled by a non-affiliated scouting agency, are the Penticton Vees (BCHL).

Coming in at No. 2 were the 2019 Canadian National Jr. A Championship-host Brooks Bandits (AJHL) while Wellington Dukes (OJHL) were slotted third in the 133-team CJHL.

Rounding out the Top 5 are the Steinbach Pistons (MJHL) at No. 4 followed by the Okotoks Oilers (AJHL).

The overall preseason Top 20 features eight league playoff champions from 2017-18 as well as trio of CJHL regional championship sides.

Among the five clubs garnering Honourable Mention laurels were the defending national Jr. A winner, the Chilliwack Chiefs (BCHL), along with the Humboldt Broncos (SJHL).

The initial 2018-19 weekly CJHL Top 20 rankings will be announced on Monday, Sept. 24, which follows the commencement of the regular season of all 10-member leagues.
