Thunder Bay Landlord Pleads Guilty to Violating Fire Code

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO August 21, 2019 –(lLSN) A Rosedale Ave. apartment owner has plead guilty to nine counts of violating the fire code in Provincial Offences Court. The charges were laid for not testing various fire safety systems, not retaining records, and not repairing fire separations in two 6 unit apartment buildings.  The owner was fined $2,000 per count for a total of $18,000 plus victim fine surcharge and costs. The charge stems from an October 2018 Inspection.

McIntyre Ward Hilldale and Melbourne Roads

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO - March 29, 2019  (LSN)  Thunder Bay Police Service officers were dispatched to the area Hilldale and Melbourne Roads just after 12:45 p.m. on Friday, March 29, for reports of an injured male.
Paramedics transported the victim to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre where he later died from his injuries.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  - March 22, 2019  (LSN)  Claude Justin KISHIQUEB, 58, of Thunder Bay, has been identified as the victim of a homicide that took place Wednesday, March 20, 2019.

Claude’s identity is being released following the conclusions of a post-mortem examination and consultation with his family.

McIntyre Ward Bike path in the County Fair area

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO March 22, 2019 (LSN) On the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 19, officers responded to reports of an unresponsive woman on a bike path in the County Fair area. A passerby had called 911 after seeing the body on a path.
The woman was identified as Tanya following a post-mortem examination.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  February 24, 2019  (LSN) Thunder Bay Police Service was called by a passerby to attend the area of 108th Avenue at 1:45pm today in relation to what they believed to be a body. 

When police arrived they found a deceased male . The male is believed to be in his early 40's, Caucasian, thin build. 

Following a post-mortem examination the victim has been identified as Lee CHIODO, 40, of Thunder Bay. Next of kind has been notified.
