Overseeing the organization’s Tourism Sault Ste. Marie division, this senior management position is responsible for the growth of travel and tourism, product development, convention business segments, sports tournaments, festivals and events, and for creating and executing effective marketing strategies.

The Tourism division of the Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development Corporation works to draw visitors to the community by securing and supporting major events, selling vacation packages, marketing area attractions and festivals, developing tourism infrastructure and new products, and attracting cruise ships and other group excursions. In 2017, this activity generated $5.8 million in direct visitor spending for the local economy, along with millions of more dollars in indirect and induced economic activity.
