Minimize

THUNDER BAY, ON - November 13, 2009 – The City of Thunder Bay will be holding a public meeting to allow citizens to ask questions and provide additional input into the findings of the South Core Transit and Parking Study. This Study was conducted by the City of Thunder Bay and ENTRA Consultants, based on the agreement between the Province and the City to acquire the Brodie Street Transit Terminal site and adjacent parking lots for the new consolidated courthouse.

The purpose of the study is to:

• Examine a variety of South Core locations as potential sites for the relocated Transit facility
• Identify parking requirements and potential solutions for both new developments, in concert with the Terminal relocation
• Provide an opportunity to optimize locations for both Transit and parking
• Examine a variety of central locations to identify feasible sites for a centralized Transit facility

The Public meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 17 from 7 - 9 pm at the CLE Coliseum building, Cardinal Room at 425 Northern Ave. Presentation begins at 7:30 pm.
Community residents, businesses, ratepayers associations and other interested parties are welcome to attend.  For those who cannot attend, please forward your views or comments by fax or email to ENTRA Consultants at 905-946-8966 or by email to
