THUNDER BAY, ON - May 13, 2011 - Thunder Bay Hydro is receiving calls from customers inquiring
about advertising issued throughout the province by the Ontario Energy Board with the
message that the lowest energy rates now start at 7 pm on weekdays. Thunder Bay
Hydro customers are currently not on Time of Use rates and this information does not
apply to them.
Thunder Bay Hydro is responsible for the power line system within the city limits of
Thunder Bay and Fort William First Nation. The new pricing system for Thunder Bay
Hydro customers is scheduled for meter read periods that begin after August 5, 2011.
Thunder Bay Hydro will continue with its plan to provide customers with information
through their bills and website until the changeover takes place.
