Thunder Bay, ON (December 7, 2011) – Five McDonald’s Thunder Bay restaurants have a new owner – Rob Prober
is the newest McDonald’s Owner Operator in the Northern Ontario community. An Operator since 2005, Rob follows in his father, John Prober’s, footsteps as a second generation franchisee.
“I’m thrilled to become a McDonald’s Franchisee in Thunder Bay,” said Rob Prober. “I’ve been with McDonald’s for many years, working with my father. It’s exciting to join the community and I look forward to helping ensure our customers and staff have the best experience possible at their local McDonald’s.”
A former franchisee in the Stratford and New Hamburg markets, Rob graduated from McMaster University with a degree in business. In July 1999, Rob started with McDonald’s as a Management trainee for his father in Stratford. He continued to move up and became an Operations Consultant in 2003. In 2005, he purchased his first McDonald’s restaurant in New Hamburg from his father.
Rob is the new franchisee of the following Thunder Bay McDonald’s restaurant locations which were previously company-owned restaurants:
• 201 Arthur Street
• 770 Memorial Avenue
• 777 Memorial Avenue
• 853 Red River Road
• 81 North Cumberland Street
