Celebrate Fall at Hazelwood Lake Nature Centre

THUNDER BAY, ON   -----   September 5, 2011  ---   The Lakehead Region Conservation Dr. Len HutchisonAuthority is Lakehead Region Conservation Authoritycelebrating fall with its annual Hazelwood Harvest Fall Festival and Craft Fair.

The event will feature a guided mushroom hike with Dr. Len Hutchison from Lakehead University, an inflatable play structure for children, Dottie T. Clown, displays, craft tables, concession and more.

"Hazelwood Lake is such a beautiful place, especially in the fall. We really want to show the community the area and what better way than a fall festival?” says Bill Bartley, Chairman of the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority. “The Hazelwood Harvest is a fun time for the whole family, with lots to do for children and adults.”
 
The public is welcome to visit Hazelwood Lake Conservation Area for the Festival. Come explore the fall colours and view wildlife on any one of our three trails.

Children will be entertained by the inflatable play structure available. Dottie the Clown can also be found entertaining children and making balloon animals.
  
Visit the Craft Fair inside the Nature Centre where local artisans will be offering unique hand-made items such as quilts, gift cards, soaps, lotions, jewelry and original artwork. The Craft Fair is a great opportunity to get a head start on holiday gift buying.
 
The Hazelwood Harvest Fall Festival and Craft Fair takes place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 11th at Hazelwood Lake Nature Centre. Admission is just $2 per vehicle, or use your Explorer Card.
 
Hazelwood Lake Nature Centre is located 14-kilometres north of Dawson Road/Highway 102 on Hazelwood Drive.
