Hike for Hospice

#LSN_Health   Hospice Northwest and You

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ---  April 5, 2017   (LSN) On behalf of Hospice Northwest, I'm asking you to join hundreds of other people in support of palliative care assistance in Thunder Bay. We're not a place, we're the volunteers that provide essential emotional support to people in their final days and hours.

On Sunday, May 7th at 12:30 p.m. we will gather at St. Ignatius High School for final registration before we walk around Boulevard Lake. You may
come as an individual or get together with friends and create a team of fundraisers. There is no fee to enter, but we ask that individuals try to raise a
minimum of $50. We have lots of prizes for participants as well as a raffle and a penny auction to liven up the event.

We've tried our best to make it a fun and pleasant event. We'll have musicians along the route and at the high school playing for your
entertainment. Our walk may be especially attractive to someone who's recently lost a family member. You will get a flower that you may drop in
their memory into the Current River from the Black Bay bridge.

Hospice Northwest

Hospice Northwest has trained 250 volunteers to provide gentle comfort and support to people living through their final days and hours. We
talk with people struggling with the inevitability of death. We provide respite for families trying to balance their own busy lives with the care of a beloved
family member or friend.

Please go to our website to join up individually or as a team. Our web
