Des Moines Menace:   The elder statesmen of the PDL, the Menace first played in the league in 1994.  They made their first playoff appearance in 1995 and have won five Heartland Division titles.  This year marks their fourteenth playoff appearance.  The Menace have three PDL titles, which include the 2005 North American Championship where they defeated El Paso on penalty kicks to go along with their two PDL Regular Season titles in 2002 and 2014.

Thunder Bay Chill:  The Chill began play in 2000 and first made the playoffs in 2007.  Since then they have won six Heartland Division titles and are making their ninth playoff appearance of all time.  Thunder Bay has two PDL championships to their credit, including the 2008 North American title where they defeated the Laredo Heat in penalty kicks and the 2013 PDL Regular Season Championship.

K-W United FC:  The new kid on the block, K-W originally started in Hamilton, Ontario Canada in 2011 as the Hamilton Rage.  They moved to the Kitchener-Waterloo area and changed their name in 2013.   They made their first appearance in the playoffs in 2014, where they lost to Des Moines in Iowa.   Last year they got revenge on the Menace and beat them in the first playoff game, en route to winning the 2015 PDL North American Championship.
