THUNDER BAY, ON  ----  September 4, 2010  ------  Being a life-long resident of this ward, I believe I Andy Wolffhave an understanding of Current River Ward’s issues and concerns.  The following are issues I will be addressing within our ward.

It’s a shame one of the most beautiful areas in our city has a lake, where it’s unsafe to swim.   It will be my commitment to you, to find out how we can restore Boulevard Lake, so it is safe to use all summer long.

There are still a number of roads that need to be resurfaced in our area.  Cumberland Street in particular has been neglected for too long.  I will propose to council to make the resurfacing of this road a top priority.

I will look into combining the Mainline (Current River) and Hudson routes into more efficient routes.  This way, riders can travel within our ward.

Of course, I don’t have all the answers for resolving our challenges within our ward.  This is why I will be holding open houses, consulting with residents and businesses in our area, in order to find out their concerns and get their input.

Before we can achieve these things, the next city council must be fiscally responsible.   There must be an unprecedented cooperation within City Council and Administration to always put the public’s interests first.  We must find a better way to address our challenges.

My campaign will be our campaign.  I look forward to listening to your concerns and suggestions on how we can make this a better city.  As YOUR VOICE ON CITY COUNCIL, it will be my commitment to assure you have a say on where we will decide to go in the future.

I can be contacted by phone at 683-7670 or by email at ElectAndyWolff@hotmail.com.
