THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO, February 9, 2012 – Join Parks Canada at Pukaskwa National Park on Family Day, Monday, February 20 for an exciting day of outdoor events.
Get cozy and take a dogsled ride for a memory that will last a lifetime.
Sample moose stew, beans, bannock and bush tea in a traditional prospector tent. Strap on your snowshoes and take a guided hike to find tracks and try to spot a variety of winter bird species. Become a nature detective and try to solve riddles to find hidden clues and your chance to win a prize.
Don’t forget your lunch money and purchase a tasty BBQ lunch provided by the Friends of Pukaskwa.
Activities will take place on Monday, February 20th from 11 am to 4 pm.
Dogsled rides are limited and will be provided on a first come, first served basis. Winter entry fees apply and for this event, only cash will be accepted;
Children under 6 are free.
