The Howard Ball #LSN_Arts
Thunder Bay, ON, October 17th, 2016 (LSN) Once again the John Howard Society of Thunder Bay and District is getting masked in mystery, as the non-profit will be hosting their third annual Howard Ball at the Valhalla Inn on Saturday, November 5, 2016. Presented by Lakehead Motors, the ball will support the organization’s rehabilitative residential programs and the United Way.
Acting Executive Director of John Howard Society of Thunder Bay & District, Kevin Haynen says; “The Howard Ball is less than a month away and we are extremely excited. Last year’s event generated such a positive response in the community. The Howard Ball benefits a great cause. The Rehabilitative Residential Program we offer is a crucial resource for men and women who are at-risk or are in conflict with the law. In addition to supporting important programs, the Howard Ball is also a lot of fun. We have great entertainment lined up again this year, including a performance by ribbon aerialist Sachiko.”
This year the Howard Ball will be bigger and better. Guests will be treated to an elegant four course meal, a variety of exciting live entertainment, an opportunity to have your tarot cards or tea leaves read by donation, a silent auction with tons of great prizes, a mystery jewelry box sale where you have a chance to win white gold and Canadian diamond earrings valued at over $1500, and a dance following dinner. Our theme is ‘A Night of Masquerade and Mystery’ so we encourage guests to dress up in their finest suits or gowns, and of course, a mask. Masks will be available for purchase and a makeup artist will be available to paint on masks as well for those who prefer.
Since 2000, the John Howard Society of Thunder Bay and District’s Rehabilitative Residential Program has helped to foster a genuinely safer community by helping individuals develop the skills needed to leave a life of crime behind.
