#LSN_News  Home' Video Contest  Thunder Bay Multi-Cultural Association

ITHUNDER BAY, ONTARIO   ----- April 16, 2013  (LSN)  If you made a two-minute long video to tell a stranger about Thunder Bay what would you show them? And what would you think if we told you that your video could win a thousand dollars?

Thunder Bay Multi-Cultural Association is holding a contest for the video that best describes where we live.

Our contest is called "Making Thunder Bay Home". We want you to make a video that celebrates our city for someone who can only find out about us on-line.

Besides the top prize of $1,000 we'll be offering a second prize of $500 and a $200 third prize.

This contest is a co-operative effort between the Multi-Cultural Association and the Inter-Church Refugee Committee, a coalition of 11 city churches.

Our goal is to assemble the best videos into a collage that will be translated and put on-line for immigrants, refugees and anyone who may consider moving to our city.

For full contest details, please go to the website of the Thunder Bay Multi- Cultural Association. Submit your video on a USB stick to the Thunder Bay Multi- Cultural Association, 17 North Court Street. If you want to send the video through the inter-net, please go to our website, by Googling "Thunder Bay Multi-Cultural Association".

The contest deadline is June 01, 2017.

There are two categories in our contest: ScenicThunder Bay and Why I Love Thunder Bay. Scenic Thunder Bay is a minute-long snapshot by you of the beautiful places in our community. Why I Love Thunder Bay can be up to two minutes long. It's a testimonial from someone about why they love living here. Include the places and people that make Thunder Bay special for you.
