This past year, the North Shore Steelhead Association completed a rehabilitation of a degraded Brook Trout nursery stream (George Creek) located within Centennial Park.
This summer the NSSA will be working with the Thunder Bay Country Club and the City of Thunder Bay respectively to complete a bank stabilization and habitat restoration project on the McIntyre River adjacent to Central Avenue. This project will stabilize and re-vegetate 60m of eroding riverbank and replant a former parking area

The North Shore Steelhead Association extends our thanks to our sponsors; Canadian Tire Corporation (both local stores), Wanson Lumber, North Country Cycle and Sports, and DnR Sporting Goods Store, as well as support from numerous other sporting goods stores, lodge owners, and businesses that combine to make this a highly successful event. Funds raised at this event are used to initiate and complete habitat projects on our local rivers and streams
