KC- 3 on 3 Hockey Tourney

THUNDER BAY, ON ---  March 25, 2014  ---- Camp Quality NWO   is very pleased to be partnering again with the organizers of the KC- 3 on 3 Hockey Tourney, April 10-13. Camp Quality  This event will welcome over 80 teams of  8-15 year olds from throughout NW Ontario and takes place at the Tournament Centre and Fort William First Nations Arena. Through program advertising and sales, auctions, draws and donations Camp Quality hopes to raise over $10,000!  Over the last 5 years over $35,000 has been raised for Camp Quality through this tournament. It is indeed a chance for “kids to help kids”.

Connor McKinnon will be playing his 5th Knights of Columbus 3 on 3 Tourney and this July; this hockey and cancer champion will be at Camp Quality NW for his 6th year. Cancer has not beaten this young man and hockey keeps him and his family busy with 2-3 practices/week, games and tournaments with the Neebing Hawks Peewee A’s.  Hockey and Camp Quality has helped them keep their mind off the constant worry of his cancer. Connor’s parents, Kelli & Brad, say that, ”Hockey is used for his rehabilitation not just physically but also mentally as he gets to be a "normal kid" out on the ice. The kids treat him like any other child that plays hockey and he loves that.” Connor expresses his love for the water sports at Camp Quality’s summer camp and he enjoys being a prankster too. He is seen at camp “playing hard” with the same passion as he puts into his sport.

Connor understands what it is to be on a TEAM knowing that “Together Everyone Achieves More”. Camp Quality NW appreciates his willingness to share his story and passion with future sponsors of the KC 3 on 3 Tourney.

Camp Quality believes in improving the quality of life for children living with cancer, and for their families. We want them to find joy and hope through the healing power of laughter and optimism, shared experiences and ongoing support. Hundreds of volunteers have contributed to the fun experiences that Camp Quality organizes. The results of many hard-working people and the valued donations from around the region were always well appreciated by the campers and their families. 2014’s summer camp is being organized from July 12- 18 at Camp Duncan on East Loon Lake.

Please come out and support Camp Quality at this great event!
